The consultation begins with your concern and your medical history, followed by an examination and a discussion of the realistic options — including the option of not operating. You will be told what the procedure can and cannot achieve, what the recovery involves, and what it will cost, before any decision is made.
It depends entirely on the procedure. Office-based aesthetic treatments usually allow a return to work the same day; day-care surgery typically needs a few days; major reconstructive and microsurgical work can require several weeks with staged follow-up. A written recovery plan for your specific procedure is given before surgery.
Yes. Outstation and NRI patients are seen regularly. An initial video consultation can be arranged so that investigations and planning are completed before you travel, and follow-up after you return home can also be done by video.
Reconstructive procedures following trauma, burns, cancer or congenital difference are frequently covered, and the hospital team will assist with pre-authorisation and documentation. Purely cosmetic procedures are generally not covered. Coverage is confirmed with your insurer before admission.
